Draw Orders

Tinkering around a little more with the prototype I got up and running yesterday. This time a little more complicated things going on.

  • Objects are located on various tile positions.
  • Objects can be stacked on top of one another. For example, the stone blocks are the ground they are sitting on are all located at the same tile position. The only difference is that the stone blocks are one “level” higher.
  • As the player moves, the character’s tile position also updates and draw orders are recalculated.

The next thing up is collisions. Have to think about that one a little more as I’m contemplating different ways of achieving what I want. More again soon!
